The story takes place in an ordinary university dormitory, and the protagonist, Li Chen, is a student who loves life and is optimistic. One night, a sudden rainstorm causes Li Chen to be trapped on campus. Just then, a beautiful girl, hostel aunt Lin Xiaomei (a pseudonym), saves him. To thank her for saving his life, Lin Xiaomei gives Li Chen a seemingly mundane but magical opportunity - if he fulfils any one of his five wishes, his dream will come true. Faced with this opportunity, Li Chen initially wishes for both wealth and beauty. He uses this superpower to work part-time in a massage parlour and quickly wins the praise and love of his clients with his magical techniques. However, as time goes by, Li Chen realises that his actions are causing a lot of distress to those around him. He begins to realise that true happiness cannot be brought about by material things or appearances. Thus, after a series of ludicrous incidents, Li Chen finally decides to give up his initial wish and help Lin Xiaomei improve her dormitory environment instead, and wins the hearts of his classmates and Lin Xiaomei through his practical actions.
